As a reminder, the 56-hour, FULL CLOSURE of Runway 5-23 to restore the threshold is scheduled for this weekend, weather dependent. We are closely tracking the hurricane activity and a decision to proceed or postpone the scheduled work will be made later this week.
Runway 5-23 will be closed starting at 2200L on Friday, September 30th through 0600 on Monday, October 3rd. RWY 13-31 will be available during the entirety of the 5-23 closure.
Runway 5-23 will be restored to full length (5,998′) following the end of the closure. Available approaches upon the completed restoration work are as follows:
• LOC RW 23 (no glide slope of MALSR available)
• RNAV RW 5
• RNAV Z RW 23 (no MALSR available)
• RNAV Y RW 23 (no MALSR available)
• Route 80 Visual RW 23
The only facilities not available are the glide slope and MALSR. Details will be provided regarding potential dates for navigational aids to be returned to service as details become available
