New Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System Installed at MMU 560 420 Morristown Airport

A newly installed Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway End Identifier Lights (MALSR) passed inspection and has been entered into service at Morristown Airport. The installation of the system was part of Phase VIII construction of the airport’s Runway 5-23 Rehabilitation Project.

DM AIRPORTS, LTD., Operators of Morristown Airport, will continue with the next phase of the Runway 5-23 Rehabilitation Project, Phase IX, in July of 2023. Phase IX will require a 30-day complete closure of Runway 5-23 starting July 10th. This closure will accommodate the removal of an existing drainage culvert coupled with the installation of a new, concrete box culvert to maintain the integrity of runway and taxiway safety areas.
