Accounting Manager
Position Title: Accounting Manager
Position Classification: Salaried, Exempt
Department: Finance
Reports to: Director of Finance/Treasurer
Directly Supervises: Junior Accountant, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Coordinator,
ARFF/Customs Administrator
Job Summary:
Responsible for all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, internal and external financial reporting. In addition, oversee the airport’s capital program, which includes tenant capital assessment and grant administration for eligible projects.
Essential Functions:
– Must be able to complete and pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
– Able to communicate effectively (reading, writing, speaking) in English.
– Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
– Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
– Must be able to operate a Company vehicle at all times.
Responsibilities:
– Manage the day-to-day accounting, which includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, journal entries and month-end closings.
– Prepare monthly financial statements for Shareholders.
– Maintain general ledger accounts.
– Supervise Accounting staff, which includes providing daily guidance and support.
– Coordinate and support annual financial reviews and tax filings, working directly with external auditors.
– Assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
– Monitor financial performance and initiate corrective actions as required.
– Develop performance measures and controls that support the company’s strategic direction.
– Manage implementation and onboarding of the Capital Program and ERP dashboards in Business Central and serve as direct liaison to the project manager and consultants.
– Oversee accounting of the capital program, which includes federal/state grants and all capital projects, assessable and non-assessable.
– Coordinate with engineers and contractors to ensure timing and accuracy of approved funded projects.
– Assess Company spending and work to reduce/control costs.
– Manages and oversees the work of direct reporting employees.
– Maintain professional and technical knowledge through various means including attending educational conferences, reviewing professional publications, building professional networks, and participating in professional organizations.
– Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
– Aptitude for analytical thinking and strategic problem solving.

– Ability to coordinate, direct, and manage the work of others as an experienced and effective team builder.
– Strong decision-making and people skills.

Education and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
– CPA required.
– 5 years of public/private accounting work experience required.
– Real estate accounting experience preferred.
– Supervisory experience preferred.
– A.A.E. accreditation a plus but not required.

Technology Manager

Job Summary
The Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of IT systems and solutions that are in-line with the Company’s goals and culture. The Technology Manager ensures that IT assets and systems are effectively utilized to ensure cohesiveness among systems, productivity, and innovation.
Reporting to the Director of Finance/Treasurer, the Technology Manager is responsible for advising Management on IT investments, threats/vulnerabilities and emerging technology trends/solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- – Oversee day-to-day IT operations and ensure system and networks run smoothly.
- – Select, contract, and manage outside IT service providers consistent with the above needs.
- – Communicate Company-wide information on outages, disruptions, updates, or planned modifications.
- – Make efforts to minimize disruptions created by third-party software upgrades and ensure all internal systems are operating on the same performance level.
- – Conduct Company-wide technology assessments and advise Management on recommended improvements and vulnerabilities.
- – Ensure that the development and implementation of technology systems and solutions align with the Company’s operations, goals, growth, and culture.
- – Ensure smooth integration of Company systems including IT, security technology, phones, etc.
- – Drive change and efficiency by ensuring that the Company’s technology resources and assets are effectively utilized and regularly upgraded/replaced by creating and implementing a replacement schedule.
- – Develop Company policies, procedures and processes to streamline and enhance productivity of staff’s usage of IT assets and systems.
- – Ensure that Company policies and procedures are up to date and are compliant with industry standards and Company expectations.
- – Lead/mentor and hold accountable staff on the usage of Company technological resources and policies to ensure connectivity, compliance, and effectiveness.
- – Train and professionally develop staff on the use of technology either directly or through the procurement of appropriate experts to meet Company needs.
- – Protect the Company’s IT assets and data from potential threats and risks by working in tandem with the Company’s third-party IT consultant.
- – Maintain a strong understanding of the Company’s business needs and work closely with other departments to ensure that IT systems, practices and uses remain aligned with needs and work processes, and promote solutions to strengthen productivity.
- – Facilitate seamless transitions and operations during/after IT system maintenance/integration, replacement, or upgrades.
- – Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding IT and data security.
- – Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends and determine applicability and/or potential impacts to the Company.
- – Responsible for negotiating contracts with IT vendors, holding vendors accountable, and adhering to budgets and timelines.
- – Manage and direct the Company’s third party technology consultant and service providers to maximize productivity and results in the most cost effective manner possible.
- – Company’s point of contact for all technological-related matters.
- – Report on IT performance metrics that will assist Management with long-term strategic planning, IT investments and procurement.
- – Take the lead during a system failure/cyber attack, etc. in a safe and efficient manner while working towards resuming normal operations.
Additional Duties:
- – Ensure that spent IT equipment is properly destroyed and disposed of and all confidential data receives certificate of destruction.
- – Assist with maintaining Company social media platforms including Company website.
- – Work collaboratively with the Director, Business Administration and Risk Management in securing IT-related insurance policies.
- – Work jointly with the Office Manager on developing and implementing an electronic file management system that meets Company needs.
- – Work collaboratively with the Human Resources Department regarding new hire IT needs.
- – (24/7) Assist with business continuity, operational safety, and the mitigation of risk in the event of a failure, or potential failure of core business functions.
- – Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- – Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- – 5+ years’ work experience in related field required.
- – Supervisory/project management experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- – Able to work a flexible/on-call schedule as needed, such as in the event of system failure/cyber attack, etc.
- – Able to develop and execute plans that are in-line with Company objectives to resolve crisis, irregular operations, and compliance violations.

- – Strong in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), and Adobe Acrobat.
