Hanover Township – DM AIRPORTS, LTD., operators of Morristown Airport, proudly awarded its annual scholarships to five local seniors from Hanover Park, Madison, Morristown and Whippany Park High Schools for 2016. This marks the 16th year that DM AIRPORTS, LTD. has presented scholarship awards in the community.

2016 Scholarship Winners and Colleges of Choice

Hanover Park High School:

Meghan Lucas – Attending Penn State University


Madison High School:

Mackaella Goodwin – Attending Lycoming College


Morristown High School:

Rachel Ahlmeyer – Attending Springfield College

Marisa Joel – Attending Georgetown University


Whippany Park High School

Bradley Ritschel – Attending University of Texas at Dallas

Each scholarship recipient was awarded with a one-time, $1,250 scholarship that can be used for tuition, books or other eligible fees associated with collegiate attendance. Since its inception in 2001, DM AIRPORTS, LTD. has awarded more than $255,000 in awards to deserving seniors across Morris County.

“This year’s recipients of the DM AIRPORTS, LTD. and Morristown Airport Scholarship were once again an impressive group,” said Airport Director Bill Barkhauer. “It’s rewarding for us to give back to the students in our community as they move on to the next chapter of their lives and who will hopefully continue to be integral parts of Morris County’s success.”

DM AIRPORTS, LTD., the private company that operates Morristown Municipal Airport, funds the scholarship program and defines the selection criteria.  Cherry Hill, New Jersey-based Scholarship Managers, a division of Career Opportunities Through Education, Inc. (C.O.T.E), receives and evaluates individual applications, and selects the actual scholarship recipients.
