Morristown Airport has been working to upgrade its Fuel Farm facility on the airport over the past months. Below is an update of the completed work so far, as well as what can be expected over the course of the next month or so. Completion of the project is set towards the end of 2016.
Work Completed to Date:
Demolition of all existing structures with the exception of the tanks, tank dike, and Operations Building. (The Operation Building will be demolished later in the project.)
Helical piles have been installed and footers poured.
Steel has arrived and been installed.
Erection of the canopies surrounding the tank dike and the fueling islands.
The foundation will be poured for the new ops building. The building is expected to arrive in late July.
Work expected to be completed in the next 3-4 weeks:
New utility services will be run to the site.
The project is scheduled for completion later this year.
